Also due to camera restrictions they've put in place, I wasn't able to bring the big lens like I normally do. The woods feature Rebound Frame Technology, with four alternating layers of stiff and flexible zones enhancing overall COR. In addition, for the first time, X drivers feature Rebound Frame with a Cup Face in design to offer more power on strikes across the face, while on the irons, a thinner face allows the entire face to flex more extensively while grooves etched deep into the interior of the iron body further enhance flex.
The clubs contain a heavier clubhead and an extremely lightweight shaft which work together in a bid to increase ball speed and swing speed at the same time, while manufacturers positioned mass under the grip, behind the hands in design to help players find the ideal spot at the top of their swing to make the downswing more consistent. I'm not a fan of huge gaps in lofts and if you're good with the short game then a 56 for sand and chips around the green should work I have both wedges and I really wanted to love the MP t10 selling a brand new 60 right now but the vokeys are staying as they get the job done despite the harder clicky feeling that i get from them - but my wedge perfection search will continue.
The important thing is the distance gaps. I play a 46, 52, I have around 20 yards between each wedge and my 58 allows me to hit it as high as I want and land it as soft as I need. I would go with a 52 58 setup or if you decide on an extra wedge go 50, 54, I play the t wedges. They do not spin as much as a vokey but I find them the most playable wedge I have ever had.
Great out of bunkers, rough, tight lies and every other lie. I am thinking that the higher lofted club will only be used around the green and not full approach shots. So does anyone think this sounds ok or do you have a better idea? I am playing a vokey and with the soft sand I have to open the face to get the bounce to work well - the problem is opening the 58 makes my preferred feel for swing out of the sand too slow and the ball isn't advancing forward enough.
The question becomes - what type of shots do you need around the green, and what clubs do you need to make those shots. Gaming a 50 and 58, but I also have a 54 in the bag. The 58 is great for shots around the green and full shots around yds. I go PW, 53, My next wedge will be a replacing the For me switching down to 3 total wedges has been great. I use the 58 with a SFU Scratch grind that lets me open the blade up nicely for bunker shots and lobs. I use the 53 for eveyrthing else from yard full shots to 60 yard pitches and even to chip around the green.
I bought into the idea of using PW, 52, 56, 60 but I would be indecisive on my club selection with too many options. Now I know exactly what club to hit. Taylormade M6, 9. Golf DF 2. I have a 45 degree PW and go with 50, 54 and Use the 50 and 54 a ton and 58 just a round the green.
Also have a matching 60 to replace the 58 if things in my area get real fast or dry in the late Summer and Fall. Choosing between the 58 or 60 depends on the ball I'm playing too.
I gamed the 50, 54, 58 set up last year but found that my half shots on one club were nearly equivalent to the full shot on the next one. I have 2 sets of irons.
Golf B. I would go a step further and get a 60 that can be exchanged with a long club 3i,5w,3w so you have flexibility depending on the course your playing. All I care about is having wedges that work for the types of shots I like to hit.
I'm not concerned about having 4 degree gaps or a specific wedge for a specific yardage. I recently went from 51,56,61 to 51,58, Best move ever regarding my wedge setup. Bottom lines is I can do anything with the 58 that I could do with my 56 and Cheers in advance.
And as a bit of a digger that would be higher bounce am I correct. Imurg Grand Slam Winner Mar 9, G1BB0 said:. Foxholer Major Champion Mar 9, Robobum Money List Winner Mar 9, Joined Dec 31, Messages 6, He did explain bounce and showed me the difference in grinds and my current wedges.
